Paula J. Money

Paula J. Money, 78, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 19th at River Hospital, after being stricken at home.

She was born March 9, 1947, in Alexandria Bay, daughter of Arthur and Frances Simpson Estes. She graduated from Alexandria Central High School in 1965.

She married Duane Money on May 23, 1969, in Alexandria Bay. Mr. Money passed away on February 2, 2021.

Besides being a homemaker to her own family, Paula provided home childcare to many families in the Alexandria Bay area. She also worked for some time for the Admiral’s Inn, Alexandria Bay.

Paula was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, enjoyed playing bingo and socializing with most anyone she would meet.

She is survived by her daughter, Tanya (Kevin) Tracy, Watertown, a brother, Francis (Amy) Estes, New Bern, NC and four grandchildren.

Besides her husband Duane, she was predeceased by a son, Steven Money, her twin sister, Polly McLennon and three brothers, Robert, John, and Michael Estes.

Per her wishes, there will be no services.
