Paul W. Bogenschutz, 78, passed away Monday, June 26, 2017 at Samaritan Summit Village in Watertown, where he had resided for the past few years.
He was born October 29, 1938 in Clayton, son of Francis B. and Leta Wright Bogenschutz. He was educated in both Clayton and Evans Mills schools. A marriage to Mary Ward, ended in divorce.
Paul was a truck driver for Hollis Wood Trucking in Clayton. He was involved with Clayton, Fisher’s Landing, Pamelia, Evans Mills, and Philadelphia Fire Departments.
He is survived by a daughter, Lisa Spink, Central Square, NY, three brothers and their wives, Ross and Velma, Lakeland, FL, Zane and Helen, Redwood, and John and Jane, Boyertown, PA, two grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A sister, Jeannine Ruggiero, predeceased him.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, June 28th from 7-9 pm at the Costello Funeral Home. The funeral will be Thursday at 11amat the funeral home, with Fr. Douglas Comstock, officiating. Burial will follow at St. Cyril’s Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Fisher’s Landing Fire Department.
