Theresa, NY – Patricia A. Knorr, 76, of Clear Lake Camp Road, passed away at her home on Sunday evening, December 11th, while under the care of her loving family, Charity, Mandy, Colin, Bennett, and Hospice of Jefferson County.
She was born September 30, 1946, at Schermerhorn’s Landing, NY, daughter of Clifford R. McCormick, Sr. and Elva Dillon McCormick. She graduated from Hammond Central High School and then from the Watertown School of Commerce.
She married Colin C. Knorr on March 19, 1971, in East Rochester, NY.
Pat worked in inventory control for Friden, in Rochester, was a bookkeeper for Agway, in Gouverneur, and owned Knorr’s Grocery Store in Redwood for 33 years. It later became the Chugalug Bar.
She was a member of the Redwood Lutheran Church. Pat enjoyed playing rummy, scrabble, crocheting, and attending her grandchildren’s events. If you received a blanket (many have), every time you wrap yourself in it, consider it a hug from Mama Knorr. Her generosity for people in need was her greatest attribute.
Besides her husband Colin, she is survived by four daughters, Charity (Michael) Billings, Antwerp, NY, Mandy Brunet, Rossie, NY, Sarah (Craig) Bartlett, Hammond, NY, and Aaron (Caleb) Monica, Theresa, NY; a sister, Renee (Robert) Gladle, Hammond, NY; ten grandchildren; and three great-grandsons. She was predeceased by a brother, Clifford R. McCormick, Jr., a sister, Kandy K. McCormick, and a granddaughter, Rebekah, at birth.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 7, 2023, at 2 pm at the Costello Funeral Home.
Memorial donations may be made in Pat’s name to Galisano Children’s Hospital in either Syracuse or Rochester.
