Mary Ellen Weston

Mary Ellen Weston Mary Ellen Weston, 75, Alexandria Bay, died Monday at Upstate University Medical Center where she had been admitted earlier that day. Mary Ellen was born on February 29, 1940 in Theresa, NY, the daughter of Leon and Kathleen Parker Taylor. She graduated from Alexandria Central School in 1957 as Salutatorian of her class. She married William C. Weston on June 21, 1957 in Alexandria Bay. Mr. Weston passed away on September 25, 2000. Mary Ellen worked as the Financial Secretary for 55 years at Hutchinson Boat Works in Alexandria Bay, retiring in June 2015. She was an avid bowler and reader, enjoyed snowmobiling in her younger years, and was a long-time American Legion Auxiliary member. Mary Ellen is survived by her three daughters, Wenda (John) Forkey, Depaulville, NY, Kathleen (Matthew) Baird, Clayton, NY, and Kelly Weston, Melbourne, FL; her son, Michael Weston, Melbourne, FL; brothers, William and Thomas Taylor; and sister Jane VanBrocklin, all of Alexandria Bay. She is predeceased by her sister, Marion Aznoe. Calling hours will be held from 1-4 pm on Saturday, November 28th at Costello Funeral Home, Alexandria Bay. There will be no funeral services. A reception will follow at the Alexandria Bay American Legion beginning at 4:30.
