Judith Anne (Parsons) Randall, 82, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 27th, in Watertown.
She was born January 29, 1942, in Syracuse, NY, daughter of Gordon and Dorothy Russell Parsons.
She graduated from St. John the Baptist High School in Syracuse and earned a professional certification from the Interior Design Society in 1982.
Judy married Ronald D. Randall on March 3, 1962, in Liverpool, NY. Judy and Ron loved their time on the St. Lawrence River starting in the 1960’s. Ron passed away on April 28, 2024.
She worked for Ethan Allen, Stickley Furniture and as a project manager and head of the interior design department for VIP Structures, in Syracuse.
Judy lived a life dedicated to the service of other people. She was an awesome mother and grandmother, serving as everything from a Cub Scout den mother to a one-woman fan club and senior advisor. She was a regional coordinator for the American Cancer Society and a long-time volunteer for the Syracuse Home. Judy is a past-president of the River Hospital Auxiliary and volunteered so often that she and Ron were named the “Community Caring Couple” for Alex Bay in 2019. She enjoyed baking, spending time with her grandchildren, and playing card games with her husband, Ron. Scorekeeping irregularities were often alleged by both players.
She is survived by three sons, Micheal, Irvine, CA, Dan, Salem, MA and Richard (Jill), East Aurora, NY, a sister, Patricia (Tom) Reagen, Morristown, NY and grandchildren Sarah, Edward, Jay, and Harlan.
Calling hours will be held Friday, October 4th, from 4-6:30 pm, at the Costello Funeral Home, Alexandria Bay. A funeral service will begin at 6:30 pm at the funeral home.
