JoAnn D. Senecal

December 7, 2015 JoAnn D. Senecal, 75, of Bolton Ave., Alexandria Bay, died Monday night at River Hospital, where she had been a patient. JoAnn was born April 23, 1940 in Des Moines, IA, the daughter of Harry and Faith D. Lundy Hicklin.  She was educated in San Rafael schools and married Leon Dean Senecal on September 15, 1956 in San Rafael, CA. JoAnn was a chef for many years for Thompson Resorts in Alexandria Bay.  She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, T.O.P.S., and enjoyed volunteering at the Alexandria Bay Chamber of Commerce. She is survived by her daughters, Susan Marie (Chris) Webber, Palm Beach, FL, Darlene (Gerardo) Lopez, Fort Lauderdale,FL, and Deana (Bryan) Honeywell, Cicero, NY; a son Leonard D. (Barbara), Cato, NY; six grandchildren; and a niece, Marcie Hicklin, Lake Tahoe, NV.  She is predeceased by a brother, Merle Hicklin; a sister, Karen Newton; and a half-brother, Dallas Dickson. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 10 ^th at Costello Funeral Home from 4-7 pm.  A funeral mass will be held on Friday at 10:00 am at St. Cyril’s Roman Catholic Church, with Fr. Douglas Comstock  officiating. Burial will follow at Barnes Settlement Cemetery.
