THERESA, NY – Inez M. Decker, 66, died Wednesday, April 8, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Syracuse.
She was born July 12, 1948, in Alexandria Bay, daughter of Francis and Helen LaBrake Panunzio. She graduated from Redwood High School. Inez worked as a sales clerk for the Thousand Islands Liquor Store, Alexandria Bay, and also at Foxy’s Restaurant in Fisher’s Landing. She was a member of the Philadelphia American Legion Post 798 Auxiliary and the Watertown VFW Post 1400 Auxiliary.
She married James W. Decker, on July 6, 1991, at St. Theresa of Avilia Church, in Theresa, with Fr. Pierre Aubin, officiating.
She is survived by her husband, James, a daughter, Julie Cencebaugh Kloth and her husband, Dr. David Kloth, Ridgefield, CT, a brother, Francis Panunzio, Antwerp, NY, two sisters, Mrs. Michael(Mary) Cullen, Gouverneur, NY and Anita Dewey, LaFayette, CO.
A graveside service will be held Friday, May 1

at 2pm at Oakwood Cemetery, Theresa, with Fr. Douglas Comstock, officiating. A reception will follow graveside services at the Wegatchie Hotel, Antwerp.
