Dolores E. Schraden

Dolores E. “Jitterbug” Schraden, 85, passed away early Friday morning, February 9^th, at Samaritan Summit Village, in Watertown, NY.

She was born May 10, 1938, in Allentown, PA, daughter of Tilghman and Doris Foster Schraden. She graduated from Parkland High School in Allentown, PA, in 1956.

Dolores worked as a young woman as a bookkeeper for 14 years for Gebhardt Bowling Supply. She then went to work for the Internal Revenue Service, in Syracuse for many years. She retired in 1995, as Manager of Audits.

She loved to play cards, spend time with her family and dance. Many knew her only by her nickname, “Jitterbug”.

She is survived by her daughter, Dolayne Schraden, Alexandria Bay, her grandsons, Michael Fowler, Fulton, NY and Scott Fowler, Syracuse, a grandson, Parker Fowler, Chittenango, NY, a brother, Tilghman (Jean) Schraden, Woodbridge, VA, and two sisters, Janice Gaumer, Crescent City, FL and Joyce (Harry) Gill, Plessis, NY. A sister, Denise Schraden predeceased her.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 11th at 2:00 pm at Brookside Cemetery, Plessis.
