Alexandria Bay, NY – Antoinette H. Parker, 94, long-time resident of Alexandria Bay, passed away early Wednesday morning at Samaritan Keep Home in Watertown, where she had been a patient since January of 2012.
Antoinette was born January 15, 1921 in Auburn, NY, the daughter of John and Mary Walczyk Drabicki, both immigrants from Poland. She graduated from Auburn High School and later married James W. Parker on January 23, 1941 in Key West, FL. She and her husband, Jim, owned and operated the St. Lawrence Steel Painting & Maintenance, Parker’s Motel, and the Anchor Lounge in Alexandria Bay for many years.
Antoinette is survived by her sons, James E. (Karen) Parker, Redwood, NY, and Stanley (Suzanne) Parker, LaFargeville, NY; her daughters, Mrs. Robert (Susan) Gronan, Lady Lake, FL, Mrs. Dale (Judith) Felder, Redwood, NY, and Mrs. Thomas (Cathy) Davis, Hammond, NY; her brother, Raymond Drabicki, Auburn, NY; 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, James, she is predeceased by two brothers, Joseph Drabicki and Stanley Drabicki, and four sisters, Victoria Roberts, Estelle Ford, Emily Drabicki, and Lillian Juli.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 20th at 11:00am at Barnes Settlement Cemetery. Arrangements are with Costello Funeral Service, Alexandria Bay.
Memorial donations may be made in Antoinette’s name to the charity of one’s choice.
