They became snowbirds and spent their winters in Zephyrhills, Florida where they both enjoyed golfing daily. They enjoyed dancing, playing bingo, and bowling together. During the summer months, Pauline enjoyed spending time with her family and sitting on the porch with Allen, overlooking the village and watching ships pass on the St. Lawrence River.
